Global Property Research B.V. acquired by Solactive AG

AMSTERDAM, 17 December 2021 - Global Property Research BV (‘GPR’) is pleased to announce that it will join forces with Solactive AG (‘Solactive’), the leading provider of global multi-asset indexing, benchmarking, and calculation solutions. Today, Solactive acquires 100% of the share capital of GPR from Van Lanschot Kempen NV.

The transaction will allow GPR to leverage Solactive’s tech-driven infrastructure, scale and international distribution capabilities. Resulting synergies will enable GPR to further strengthen its business and remain the partner of choice in the field of listed real assets.

GPR’s unique expertise in real estate and infrastructure combined with Solactive’s longstanding track record in creating high-quality yet cost-efficient benchmarks at scale, will result in an expansion of GPR’s toolbox available to clients for new product designs, such as real time calculation, dedicated ESG solutions leveraging Solactive’s open ESG data infrastructure, or multi-asset indexing.

Jeroen Vreeker and Floris van Dorp from GPR, comment: “Solactive is the perfect partner for GPR to facilitate the envisioned growth of our business within the real estate and infrastructure indexing space. Solactive’s expertise, network and infrastructure will further improve our tailor-made offering to existing and new clients looking for index solutions in the listed real asset markets.”

Steffen Scheuble, CEO of Solactive, comments: “We share a customer-centric and tailored approach to indexing with GPR. Building on this dynamic and bringing aboard GPR’s specialist knowledge in listed real estate and infrastructure will allow us to expand our disruptive approach to new areas of the index eco-system where clients can expect to see solutions carrying Solactive DNA: fast, flexible, and cost-efficient. The Solactive family is very happy to welcome GPR on board and we are looking forward to serving our global client base with the resulting solutions.”

GPR will remain a stand-alone entity continuing to operate in the same way and clients can expect the same service levels they are currently receiving. At the same time, the two companies will work closely together to realize the abovementioned benefits for clients and further develop the common value proposition of GPR and Solactive. GPR will remain based in Amsterdam and retain its status as a registered Benchmark Administrator, regulated by the AFM.
